FERRY SERVICES

Cruise Whitsundays operates 'Resort Connections' an island resort transfer service in the Whitsundays. This service connects Great Barrier Reef Airport at Hamilton Island to Daydream Island Resort and Spa, Airlie Beach and Long Island.

It also connects Whitsunday Coast Airport at Proserpine through to Daydream Island, Long Island and Hamilton Island, as well as providing a service between the islands and the mainland.

The service provides a seamless, hassle free and fast connection for arriving and departing guests with modern, purpose built vessels.

The ferries are decked with comforts including air conditioning, plasma screens to provide information on the resorts and area, a bar serving REAL coffee and a full range of drinks and snacks. Hmmm… decisions, do you have a cappuccino or rum and coke?!

Note: We also offer an Island Hopper Pass so you can cruise the islands at your leisure.

Where our services operate:

Great Barrier Reef Airport (Hamilton Island)
Our ferries operate directly from the Airport pontoon, just 100 metres from the airline check in desks. Porters will transfer your luggage between the terminal and the ferries. It is your responsibility to collect your luggage at the designated drop off terminal. There is a ferry to meet most flights with a departure as close as possible to touch down. Passengers should go to the Cruise Whitsundays desk in the arrival concourse. Departing guests similarly arrive directly at the Airport on a ferry timed to suit flight departures.

Whitsundays Coast Airport (Proserpine)
We have a dedicated coach with a meet and greet service at the Airport. As soon as all passengers have boarded the coach, it will go directly to Abel Point Marina or Shute Harbour where a ferry departure is timed for a connection out to the islands. Departing guests should make themselves known to the coach drivers at Abel Point Marina or Shute Harbour for transfers to the airport. Coach times will be advised when you confirm your booking.

Abel Point Marina
Abel Point Marina is situated at Airlie Beach. We have a number of ferry services coming and going from Abel Point everyday.

Shute Harbour
Another Airlie Beach route to the Whitsunday Islands, Shute Harbour is situated further around the coast from Abel Point Marina. There are a number of ferry departures and arrivals every day.

Hamilton Island Marina
Hamilton Island is a leading island resort in the Whitsundays. It is famous for its spectacular beauty and also for the array of fantastic activities on offer. Guests staying at qualia, Yacht Club Villas, and The Beach Club will be met by a guest services representative at the top of the jetty for private transfers to their accommodation. Those staying at Reef View Hotel, Palm Bungalows and holiday home accommodation will need to see the drivers of the transfer vehicles that meet each ferry at the top of the jetty. A resort link taxi service is also available. A per person charge will apply.

Need to know:

• All Airport transfers must be booked in advance. Passengers who have not booked will be boarded last and cannot be guaranteed passage if the vessel is full.
• All passengers travelling with luggage must ensure their luggage is checked in for ferries a minimum of 15 minutes prior to scheduled departure.
• The Airport Jetty at Hamilton Island is strictly for passengers connecting with flights only.
  
• Non - secure parking is available at Abel Point Marina adjacent to our departure point. Secure parking for guests departing from Abel Point Marina is available at Shute Harbour Parking & Storage. They can provide a valet service to and from the marina at an additional cost.
• For self drive guests travelling out to Shute Harbour the car parking at Shute Harbour is pay stations. There is also secure undercover car parking at Shute Harbour Parking & Storage (situated 300m from main Shute Harbour entrance).
