Yes, Camira is suitable for families with children aged 4 years and over. However, due to the full-day duration and sailing format, the experience is generally best suited to children who are comfortable spending an extended period on the water. Please note that children aged 0–3 years are not permitted on this tour.
Our tours operate rain or shine, so wet weather won’t affect your departure.
We recommend checking the local forecast 72 hours prior to your trip, so you know what conditions to expect and have the flexibility to amend your booking if required. If rain is forecast, guests are encouraged to get into their stinger suits early and embrace the experience – rain can make for a unique day in the Whitsundays!
Tidal restrictions occur during low tide, which can prevent Camira from accessing Tongue Bay, the entry point to Hill Inlet and the northern end of Whitehaven Beach.
If access to Tongue Bay is not possible, the skipper will select an alternative location based on the day’s conditions, typically the southern end of Whitehaven Beach.
While this means Hill Inlet lookout may not be accessible, guests can still enjoy the iconic white silica sand and crystal-clear waters. There are also alternative lookouts at the southern end offering stunning views across Whitehaven Beach and Whitsunday Island.
Yes. Camira is an all-inclusive day tour, with generous amounts of food and drinks provided throughout your journey.

After your tour, you’ll return via Port of Airlie and transfer back to Daydream Island, enjoying the full Camira experience from start to finish.
Yes, stinger suits are mandatory for all guests snorkelling on Camira, year-round.
All snorkelling gear is provided on board, including masks, snorkels, fins, and stinger suits. These lightweight, full-body suits are designed to protect against marine stingers such as box jellyfish and Irukandji.
Stinger suits act as a protective barrier to reduce the risk of stings, while also offering sun protection and minor protection from coral or other marine irritants.
Phone reception is limited during the Camira Sailing Adventure. Guests may have an intermittent signal at the beginning of the journey, before losing reception completely as the vessel travels further offshore.
There is no WiFi available on board Camira, giving you the perfect opportunity to disconnect and enjoy the experience.
A moderate level of fitness is recommended to fully enjoy the day, including snorkelling and the walk to Hill Inlet Lookout.
Snorkelling is optional, but guests must be confident swimmers to take part. If you prefer not to snorkel, you’re welcome to relax on board instead.
The Hill Inlet walk is approximately 1.3km return and includes some uneven terrain and walking on sand. Our crew are always available to assist and help you make the most of your day.
If you have any health or mobility concerns, we recommend speaking with our team before travel to ensure the experience is right for you.
For safety reasons, alcohol is not served before snorkelling activities. Guests who plan to snorkel will be able to access the bar after they have finished snorkelling.
